why €60 keeps a child in school for a year

€60 doesn’t buy much in most places. at La Voie School in Lomé, Togo, it buys a full year of primary education for one child. here’s exactly where that money goes, because “sponsor a child” shouldn’t mean handing over money and hoping for the best.
one real school, not a vague fund
we partner directly with La Voie School in Lomé — one place, one team, one set of kids we actually know. no pooled “education fund” with no visibility into where it lands. when you sponsor a child through Wild Geese, you know exactly which school your money reaches.
what €60 (or €80) actually covers
- €60/year keeps a child in primary school for a full year
- €80/year covers a full year of secondary school
that includes:
- tuition
- school supplies
- a safe classroom to chase big dreams in
new sponsors are always welcome — there’s no minimum commitment beyond a year, and no upsell waiting at the end of it.
why this, and why now
traditional aid can feel distant — a donation disappears into an organisation and you never really know what it did. we built this the other way around: one school, direct contact, and real updates. sponsors hear about their child’s progress and final-year results, not just a thank-you email.
we also never publish the names or photos of children who need sponsors. that list stays private, shared only directly with the people stepping in to help — because dignity isn’t optional, even in a fundraising ask.
the actual math
a coffee a week. that’s roughly what €60/year works out to. the difference is a coffee disappears in ten minutes, and a year of school stays with a kid for the rest of their life.
if you want to be part of that story, get in touch about sponsoring a child — we’ll reply privately with a list of children who need a sponsor to continue their education, usually within 48 hours.
